Re: Official 2018 World Cup Thread
brilliant tournament - only thing missing was Italy.

best game was Spain v Portugal (3-3).
best goal - Pavard or Ronaldo's free-kick.

Was it the best quality WC I have seen... nope..... was it the most exciting and drama ridden.... absolutely... loved every minute of it... not one player stamped his authority on the comp' but that did not matter... it was exhausting... breathless... and brilliant.... can't see the next one being like that in 4.5 years time but then again everyone was calling for Russia to be scrapped... so who knows...

lets celebrate winning the World Cup by rioting and looting.

Cunts.

Have to say i did enjoy this World cup, far more than Brazil or South Africa, maybe because England did ok, but the 2010 finals were also ruined with those fucking trumpet things at every game.

Game of the tournament IMO was Japan V Belgium, Goal of the tournament Di Maria for the Argies against France, player who most impressed me was Shaqiri, but still think hes a cunt!

17 of the 23 members of the French squad are the result of, well, how shall I put it so as not to upset anyone....

... er ....

.... the result of cultural enrichment and the freedom of movement.

I’m in France right now, and of course they’ve got their cocks out, but they just showed something that made me laugh.

Giroud, who failed to score all tournament, ran on the pitch after the final whistle, celebrating. He saw a football just outside the area. The goal was empty, he ran up to the ball, took one touch, then shot at the empty goal........it hit the post and went wide.

Ag, indeed, ag.

Re: Official 2018 World Cup Thread
we made a big impact on the tournament so well done for that. That first 30 mins against Croatia I thought wtf this is a good team. Bit like Germany no super stars but great team work and pace. However the Croatian sussed us out and Southgate could make the right changes...but when you look at the bench..fuck. Thats the problem no real depth on the bench. Delph, Dier..fffs.

The best thing that could happen is the Spurs players being fucked going into the season.

I'm writing off the next world Cup, middle of the season? Hope it doesn't hamper our charge for the league/Cup/champions league treble.

Re: Official 2018 World Cup Thread
All in all a good tournament once the group stages ended but it is nor Russia fault to include so many teams,

I think Russia deserved to hold it simply as they pretty much always qualify for both the WC and Euros (unlike Qatar). There are good cities in Russia but I think that they held it in too many, Samara, Kallingrad, Volgorad etc.

One of the things that Russia did not deliver on was one of teh Reasons that that won it, they said there would be new high speed rail between all cities, I was working in Russia then, many companies invested in these schemes but have since given up on Russia, to date there are no new high speed lines, Russia could not afford them.

Most of the stadiums will now be useless other than Zenit, CSKA and Spartak and maybe Kazan, but these stadiums were pretty much in place already.

Fair play to the Russians
They have done a brilliant job way above expectations.
Maybe the Qataris will surprise us.
